To mark the anniversary of the first lockdown of the Covid-19 pandemic, Canon Janet said prayers in Church at 12noon on Tuesday 23rd March 2021, and the Church bell was tolled 52 times.
Sadly, there have been more than 100,000 Covid-19 deaths. To mark this tragedy our Tower Captain tolled the church bell 100 times on Sunday 31st January 2021. and Canon Janet said a prayer.
Canon Janet has put together a photo montage of what happened during the first lockdown...

Knit a Teddy
Calling all knitters! Can you help?
Could you please spare an hour or two to knit a little teddy?
Doctors who treat children have found that children who have their own teddy to cuddle get better quicker than those who don’t have one. Each child keeps their own teddy and can take it home, so the doctors need a continual supply. They are very simple and quick to make.
If you can make a little bag for your teddy, that would be most welcome, but if not it doesn’t matter as the teddies are the important item.
Full instructions here.
