Exploring Faith We are running an “Exploring Faith” Course by zoom on Monday evenings at 8pm and running for the next 5 weeks. Each session will last about 45 minutes. If you are thinking about baptism for yourself or confirmation it will help you along the journey. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89162100473 Meeting ID: 891 6210 0473 Although this course will have started by the time you receive this it will not be too late to join. Please pray for Revd Theresa as she heads up this course and for those who are participating. Mothers’ Union Sunday This will be marked on Sunday 21st November at the 9.30am service and is in advance of their joining with the United Nations 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence which runs from 25 November – 10 December. Within this the Mothers’ Union will be holding a Global Day of action on Saturday 27th November. Members are called to hold a 3 minute silence that day at 1.03pm to join together and say “No more 1 in 3” as research shows that 1 in 3 people suffer gender-based abuse or violence. Christmas Fayre Please display the enclosed poster in your window or in a local shop. We are planning to hold our Christmas Fayre this year though it will be a smaller ‘a-fayre’ (groan) than in days of yore and with plenty of ventilation so wrap up warm. It will be on Saturday 27th November 11am – 2pm We will need help as follows: Thursday 25th November 10am – 12noon Decorating the hall Friday 26th November 2pm – 5pm Setting up the Fayre.  Saturday 27th November 10am onwards Refreshments 2pm onwards Clearing up (it’s really good to have a few ‘fresh people’ at this point and it is something which can be done at a social distance.) If you can help please contact Rowena Nicholls rowena.nicholls@sky.com 07724 170448 Every hour you can offer really helps. Christmas Services We are still working out what will be sensible to offer. There will almost certainly a need to bring back the booking system so we don’t get too crowded. We hope to offer some form of Carol Service in or around church. Last year the Mothers’ Union enjoyed listening to the choir of St Paul’s Cathedral sing carols in our very own church! We plan to offer Crib Services at 2pm and 4pm on Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve Communion Service time to be confirmed Christmas Day Communion at 9.30am Hopefully a few more services than this – more details on the web-site & in the next pack.
