The booking line and Eventbrite link will close at 4pm the previous day. Please do NOT try to book after this time as it creates a considerable amount of extra work. However, please do let us know if you are not able to attend at the last minute. If there are no tickets left when you try to book, please email theresa.curate@gmail.com (or phone 07557 472096) and you will be given priority the following week. All booking details will be retained for 21 days (or for the period of time the government advises) for contact tracing purposes. Arriving at church: Due to the building work entry will be via the WEST (tower) door. There are steps but there is a wheelchair ramp. We will be open 10 minutes before the service. Hand-sanitising will be required on arrival. You will be directed to your seat and you should remain seated and as quiet as possible. (Turning around to talk to people disturbs those who wish to pray and is also deemed to be ‘social interaction’ which is not permitted.) You can smile :)! What will the service be like? It will be a simple service of Holy Communion. There will be organ music but congregational singing is still not permitted. We are asked to say the responses quietly What about receiving Holy Communion? Shortly beforehand we all sanitise our hands. You will be directed when to come forward. Keep your mask on and return to your seat (via the one-way system) with your wafer in your hands. We then all receive Communion together. If your mobility is limited communion will be brought to you in the pew. Do I need to bring anything? YES! a. your mask – unless exempt and you should provide evidence of exemption. It must fit snugly around your face and cover your nose. b. A small bottle of sanitiser c. Your ‘Easter’ service booklet (already circulated) and Bible Readings (in this pack) d. Your collection if you give by cash or card. The plate will be available on entry What about children? Our current provision for children and families is via the Sunday School Service in the Pastoral Centre at 8.30am. If you need to bring a child (including those in pushchairs) to this service they will each require a ticket. Each child MUST have an accompanying adult with them and, if 7 or below, they should hold the hand of their adult whilst in church except whilst together in their pew. Will the toilet be open? Yes. Children MUST be accompanied by their adult. Leaving church Sadly, we still can’t ‘hang around to chat.’ Please continue to social distance, ideally at 2 metres. We are sorry that this seems rather complex and ‘authoritarian’ but the Rector and Churchwardens are liable for Public Heath safety at this time. Please, please do your very best to comply with the above so that they are not put in a difficult situation and can also worship God in the service too. Thank you so much – on the whole things went very well when we were open last year. .
